About Me

Welcome to my home on the internet!  Thank you so much for considering me to be your massage therapist.  My name is Christopher Morse, owner of Massage for the Soul.  I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2013 when I graduated from the Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy and a member of the AMTA my entire career.  I have worked at various studios and spas over the years performing over 5000 massages during this time as well as staying up to date with current trends via continuing education.

Let me tell you a little about myself and why I decided to begin this chapter of my life.  After years of honing my craft and developing my skills, I was at a crossroads.  I had found a spot that I called home, a place that was full of great people.  I was happy....but something was missing.  Something that I could just never quite put my finger on.  Even as all these amazing life events passed: getting married to my beautiful wife Rachel, purchasing our dream home here in Middletown and having the loves of my life, our 2 beautiful daughters.  How much joy filled my life!  But still, something was missing.

Then in the summer of 2021, my family was hit with the unexpected loss of my father.  My family is very close, and this hit us all extremely hard, especially my two young girls.  As life spun forward into chaos, we entered a very hard, dark time.  I took a break from massaging to focus on my family, and on myself.  I did much soul searching and thinking and after many months of time away we all started to heal.  And with this healing came more thought, and more searching.

One day in early 2022, as the temperatures started to warm and the sun shined longer, I sat at home while my youngest daughter watched Frozen 2 for the umpteenth time.  And as Elsa belted out the lyrics to "Into the Unknown", something spoke inside of me, unsurprisingly sounding like the voice of my father.  It was at that moment that I knew what had always been missing. I stopped chasing my dreams.  Fear of the unknown had prevented me from doing what I set out to do back in 2013: open my own business and use it as a platform to help make the world a better place, one massage at a time.  This was always my dream, and due to inner doubts, I had let it nearly slip away.

I felt a rush of urgency as I immediately knew, I NEEDED to chase this dream of mine.  And not only that, I knew that I could achieve it.  As clear as day I could envision my space, my webpage, my business cards, my clients walking in the door.  My father's words rang clear as day in my mind, "you can do whatever you set your heart to, son."  What I wanted to do was run my own practice.  It was time to set fear aside.

With that I opened Massage for the Soul in April of 2022.  A place to practice my craft, to connect with the many wonderful people in this great world we live, and to most importantly help people on their life's journey: all through massage.  The connections and relationships built through this field are amazing and wonderful and I am honored, grateful and thankful for the opportunity to provide this service to the great people of Middletown and the surrounding area.  I set out in this field to help heal the body and the soul, and this is my platform to provide that.
